Documentation
As librarian, it is my goal to get all students using MLA format – Modern Language Association – so that they are expertly prepared to document papers correctly for university. Below, you will find two documents that I encourage students to use. The first one is a downsized version of the newest MLA format (updated in 2009, 7th edition). This document was created by the library at Durham College. The second document is a copy of a sample research paper, prepared by Diana Hacker. These documents are available for purchase for a twoonie in the library, or you can print them off directly from this site.
Other forms of documentation that you may wish to familiarize yourself with are APA, Chicago/Turabian and CSE. Samples are included below as well. If you have any questions, come and visit me in the library!
